The MHNA retreat from 2007
MHNA Annual Conference/Retreat 2007
It is our privilege to present a program that explores the rich intercommunication between the mind, body and spirit. By utilizing a variety of methods we can work from our core to create wellness and healing for the whole being. Through music therapy, Integrative yoga, Brain Gym and Quantum Yoga our facilitators will present and demonstrate relevant principles and applications. Benefits include centering, transformation, relaxation and optimal performance.
The discussion of Music Therapy begins with exploration of music in ceremonial uses, biblical references and modern medial applications. The 7 notes of the music scale will be identified and related to their corresponding chakra, color and meaning. Physical, emotional and spiritual effects will also be addressed.
Yoga as a practice and a lifestyle will be explored. From its history to its purpose and multiple health benefits we will have an opportunity to understand and practice both Integrative and Quantum Yoga. New possibilities for improved health will be revealed.
The Brain Gym presentation provides insightful information on a series of exercise practices. Discussion includes identification of different brain states and the function of the amygdala. Brain Gym exercises assist the body in mind clearing, communication, energy, midline orientation and comprehension. New ways of moving lead to a more functional and integrated self.
Come broaden your knowledge and therapeutic practice skills in an energizing and caring environment
